The application is used to determine the harvest time of fruit, measurement of cooling lubricants, etc. The very wide range of applications for these models can be found in Laboratory, food industry, metal processing and CNC machines.
These ARCARDA hand refractometer models are used in large numbers in the cooling lubricant industry to monitor the quality of lubricating oils.
In the food and agricultural industry, this model is used to determine the sugar concentration, to determine the protein content in the blood and to determine colostrum (see also the information in the „Agrarnetz“)

The Brix scale is used in the food industry to measure the sugar content of fruit, vegetables and wine, juices and other non-alcoholic drinks as well as in the sugar industry. In the industrial sector, our refractometers are used in particular for cooling lubricants, oils and emulsifying solutions.
The use of it to determine the protein density of colostrum is also relatively new. This method is increasingly replacing the colostrum spindle because measurement using a refractometer is more accurate. You can read an interesting technical article here.
