Electrical conductivity (EC value) measures how well substances or solutions conduct electricity, with water EC levels directly correlating with dissolved ion content, as pure distilled water has poor electrical conductivity. The EC measurement serves as a key indicator for water nutrient concentration, with dissolved ions functioning as essential plant nutrients for optimal plant growth and development; however, excessive EC readings from over-fertilization can cause nutrient toxicity, resulting in leaf burn symptoms and stunted growth in plants.
The Arcarda ARCON-ELPC001 is compatible with most of the conductivity meters with a BNC connector. There is no temperature sensor. A separate temperature probe or manual temperature entry is required for ATC.
The electrode has a 6-month manufacturer's warranty.
Connector type, cable length, temperature compensation, and size can be customized upon special request.
