To ensure frost protection, fluids for windshield wiper fluid or batteries, for example, must be checked regularly with a refractometer. Our REF413 antifreeze refractometer offers you three scales for this purpose.

The first two scales indicate the freezing point of the fluid being tested in °C.

The third scale is used to measure the specific gravity of battery fluids and can be used to determine the state of charge of lead-acid batteries such as car, motorcycle and boat batteries.
