The REF413 refractometer can be used to measure the ethylene glycol and propylene glycol concentration of the antifreeze in your car, solar system, heating system, or other machines or systems. The first two scales show the freezing point in °C for the liquid being tested.
The 3rd scale is used to measure the specific gravity of battery fluids and allows you to determine the state of charge of lead batteries such as car , motorcycle and boat batteries..
The fourth scale is used to determine the freezing point of windshield cleaners that are isoprobanol-based.
