Our REF711 wine refractometer offers three scales, Brix, Oe, and Babo, and features ATC.
The first scale (mas Sacc) is used to determine the sucrose concentration of sugary solutions. The other two scales (Oe, KMW) indicate the must weight, i.e., the density of the grape must. This is an indicator of the expected alcohol content of wine when the sugar has completely fermented. The refractometer is therefore used in particular in viticulture to determine the harvest time, as well as in wineries.
