The analog and universally applicable VND2 refractometer is suitable for measuring the refractive index with a scale of 1.333-1.380nD and enables low-tolerance measurement.
Like all our handheld refractometers, this one can also be adjusted to different visual acuity levels thanks to the simple and smooth adjustment of the eyepiece.
The refractive index serves as a raw value for determining the concentration of sugar solutions, as all other variables (Brix, Oechsle, etc.) can be calculated from this directly measured value. With the least error-prone unit, the scale is therefore universally applicable, but is used particularly in laboratories and in pharmacy.
