Our coffee refractometer gives you greater insight into the specific properties of your coffee, such as how much extraction has taken place before you even taste it. It can also give you an idea of what adjustments you need to make to improve the taste of your coffee. TDS is an abbreviation for Total Dissolved Solids, which describes how much dissolved solids are present in the water. A TDS refractometer for coffee shows you how much of the ground coffee has been dissolved to produce a tasty coffee drink. The more there is, the stronger the coffee will be. All you have to do is put a few drops of coffee on the prism of the device, and it does the rest. Based on the TDS value, you can calculate the extraction performance of your brew.
You probably already know that extraction plays a major role in the taste of your coffee. So by experimenting with TDS, extraction yield, and recipe, you can make a stronger coffee that is more pleasing to your nose and taste buds.
