The Coffee Refractometer will give you a better insight into the specific characteristics of your coffee, such as how much extraction has taken place before you even taste it. It can also tell you what adjustments you need to make to improve the taste of your coffee. TDS is an abbreviation for Total Dissolved Solids, which describes how much dissolved solids are present in water. A TDS refractometer for coffee will tell you how much of the ground coffee has been dissolved to produce a tasty coffee beverage. The more there is, the stronger the coffee. All you have to do is put a few drops of coffee on the prism of the instrument and it does the rest. You can use the TDS value to calculate the extraction strength of your brew.
You probably already know that extraction plays a major role in the taste of your coffee. So by experimenting with TDS, extraction yield, and recipe, you can make a stronger coffee that is more pleasing to your nose and taste buds.
Please note that you need 2xAAA batteries for this device.
