The refractometer for beer wort has dual scale of Brix and Specific Gravity. It can also be used to calculate mash efficiency which is the percentage of potential sugars that are extracted from the grains during the mash. To use the refractometer, you should ensure that the wort samples cool down to below 30°C before testing.
